IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PRESCTIPTIONS

Friday 25th November 2022

Please be advised that we will no longer email prescriptions to pharmacies. This was put in place as an interim measure during the COVID-19 pandemic to help maintain social distancing. If you have been issued a prescription as part of a telephone consultation you will need to either collect it from the surgery in person, or it can be collected by your nominated pharmacy the next working day. Please be reminded we do not take prescription…

Christmas 2020

Monday 21st December 2020

Merry Christmas & a Happy & healthy New Year to all our patients! 2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone. Throughout the pandemic restrictions imposed on us have meant we have had to adapt quickly to a very different way of working. This has put a lot of pressure on our GP's & our dedicated team of clinical & administrative staff. We have had to alter the way we consult with patients in order to keep everyone safe. Whilst GP's & nurses are able to manage many problems over the telephone, they have continued to see patients face to face when clinically necessary either in surgery or by home visit. We have also continued to provide chronic disease reviews, medication…

The "New Normal"

Monday 7th September 2020

We have had a few phone calls this morning asking when we are "returning to normal". We have spent many weeks preparing for a phased return to General Practice, but we will still not be reverting to pre-Covid times. Unfortunately, Covid19 remains, Public Health Wales show an increase in figures over the last 5 days, and this is something we are monitoring. We want our staff and patients to feel as safe as possible entering the building, for work and for their appointments, therefore staffing the door and limiting the footfall in the practice will be of utmost importance to us. Due to social distancing rules, it is very unlikely that we will ever return to the way…

Community Resources Directory

Monday 15th June 2020

Covid-19, the resulting health and economic worries for many of us, concerns for loved ones and the impact of isolation are likely to have a significant impact on peoples' mental health and well-being. The following organisations can potentially provide telephone support for people struggling with their mental health and well-being and many also have helpful resources on their websites. There is likely to be an increase in the numbers of people seeking help, and CALL has had an increase in its capacity to support an effective response to this increase in demand, so CALL may be a good place to start. If you are a member of staff, you may want to consider how you connect people up with another organisation. You may…
