Prescriptions

In Person

at Westfield Medical Centre

Repeat prescriptions may be ordered by returning the 'request slip' provided with your previous prescription with the 'required items' clearly 'ticked'. The slip can be posted to us or placed into the 'prescription box' provided in the reception area.

Please allow TWO full working days to enable the prescription to be prepared and signed. If you provide a 'stamped addressed envelope', we will post the prescription back to you. Prescriptions will be ready for collection after 2 pm. Please note: We do NOT take requests for any medications over the telephone.

Prescriptions

By Pharmacy

at a participating pharmacy

Participating pharmacies in your area, can save you time so you have fewer trips back and forth to your GP. They are able to negotiate the re-ordering and collection of your repeat prescription directly from Westfield Medical Centre.

They can the make the medication available to collect from store or in special circumstances even arrange delivery. You will need to supply the pharmacy with your personal details as well as that of your GP and the list of regular medication.

Prescriptions

On-line

via My Health Online Website

Westfield Medical Centre in collaboration with NHS Wales provide you with access to an on-line web-site in which you can request your 'repeat prescription'. You will need to create an account with this web-site in order to access this feature.

To be able to create an account you must first get a 'registration letter' from GP Reception. As part of the registration process, you will be asked to prove your identity. This is one of the measures in place to protect the information that your GP holds about you. Please be aware, that this On-line service also allows you to 'Book and Cancel Appointments', as well as 'updating your personal information'.
