At Westfield Medical Centre we carry out structured medication reviews for patients with ongoing health problems, improving patient safety and helping them get the best outcomes from their medication. The aim is to improve value, quality and safety in the prescribing of medicines.
Our practice pharmacist is a specialist in medication. The Pharmacist is best placed to see patients who require information on medication, are experiencing problems with medication, or need a medication review.
Our resident Pharmacist, Claire, qualified in 2010 and has since completed a post-graduate degree in Clinical Pharmacy and become qualified as an independent prescriber. Her previous experience was a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist at the Princess of Wales Hospital and she has worked as a GP Practice Pharmacist since 2016, joining Westfield Medical Centre in 2018.
