Merry Christmas & a Happy & healthy New Year to all our patients!
2020 has been a very difficult year for everyone. Throughout the pandemic restrictions imposed on us have meant we have had to adapt quickly to a very different way of working. This has put a lot of pressure on our GP's & our dedicated team of clinical & administrative staff.
We have had to alter the way we consult with patients in order to keep everyone safe.
Whilst GP's & nurses are able to manage many problems over the telephone, they have continued to see patients face to face when clinically necessary either in surgery or by home visit.
We have also continued to provide chronic disease reviews, medication reviews, nursing home reviews, treatment room procedures, childhood immunisations, blood tests & organised a very successful flu vaccination campaign. As well as this, the reception & admin team have been working hard to deal with all of the other numerous tasks involved in running a surgery.
We have put procedures in place to enable self-isolating staff to work from home & increased the number of phone lines. Despite this, the demand remains high.
A big thank you to our patients who have been very understanding & supportive, there has been a small minority of patients who have taking their frustrations out on clinical & admin staff, this is not acceptable.
Please treat our staff with respect & courtesy. Verbal abuse of staff will not be tolerated.
We will continue to provide the best service that we possibly can during these unprecedented times.
Again we wish you a safe and happy Christmas, please take care.
Be kind to each other ❤️
